UPCOMING EVJC Combo Performance 11/30/16
At 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, I will lead the East Valley Jazz Cooperative in a shared concert with the Mesa Community College Jazz Band at the MCC Performing Arts Center (1520 South Longmore, Mesa, AZ 85202). The EVJC will open the concert, performing music by John Coltrane, Freddie Hubbard, and Nat Adderley. Following an intermission, the MCC Jazz Band will take the stage, under the direction of MCC alum Paul Brewer.

Audition Period Extended!
Students interested in participating in the East Valley Jazz Cooperative who are unable to take an audition this week due to conflict (such as the AZMBA event on 11/19) can still contact me to set up a separate audition. The EVJC plans to hold rolling auditions for the group through the end of November.
In some cases, I might be able to visit your school---with the approval/support of your band director---to hear multiple students audition in one location. (As an example, I will be visiting Mountain View High School early next week to audition students.) Please email me soon to set up your audition. I’m confident you’ll really enjoy participating in the East Valley Jazz Cooperative!
