VJCP511-FBB – Flexible Instrumentation Jazz Ensemble Chart, which has been written to sound complete with as few as 11 pieces or as many as a full (18-piece) big band. The instrumentation is as follows:

Description: VJC Blues is a piece written for developing jazz ensemble that aims to introduce and reinforce the fundamentals of the 12-bar blues form. This piece features a singable melody performed by the saxophones that is later accompanied by the brass, ensemble sendoffs to various horn soloists, and ensemble trading with the drum set before a satisfying conclusion to this swinging riff-based arrangement. With plenty of opportunities to focus on soloistic blues improvisation as well as stylistic ensemble playing within sections, VJC Blues is a must-play for your jazz ensemble.
 
This big band arrangement is of intermediate-to-advanced difficulty.
