Description: And So It Begins draws inspiration from the contrapuntal line writing of Bob Brookmeyer. Combining those contrapuntal concepts with Brookmeyer’s approach to pedal points and his use of quartal and closed 4th structures, composer Dave Rivello has crafted an exciting, contemporary work for jazz ensemble, one that has a unique sound and a particular musical perspective. Performers and audiences alike will thoroughly enjoy And So It Begins.
The chart offers solo space in Tenor Sax, Trombone, and Drum Set books.
This big band arrangement is of intermediate difficulty.
