We're Back!! EVJC Fall 2016 Auditions Begin

I am happy to announce the return of the East Valley Jazz Cooperative program with auditions to be held the middle of next month.

Students who want to participate but cannot make either audition date above, should CONTACT ME to set up an individual audition. Our current plan is to have one or two EVJC combos active in the fall, with the first rehearsal on Saturday, September 24th at MCC. In mid-November, following the conclusion of AZ marching band season, we’ll hold another round of student auditions, expanding the EVJC into a more-traditional jazz ensemble experience. I want to thank Chris Mack of Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church and Paul Brewer of Mesa Community College for their assistance this fall in relaunching the EVJC. I also want to thank my Music Serving the Word family for their continued support of this educational initiative. Finally, I want to let Phoenix music students know what a unique learning opportunity is available through the VJC (read what others have to say about this).
